Shhhh!!!! He's sleeping. After an evening of barking wherein we (mostly Stacey) were taking him out every fifteen minutes to pee, he continued to bark/whine/cry. No pee (guys got a great bladder) but finally we (Stacey) moved him up to our (Stacey's) room where he (I think) went to sleep. Haven't heard thing one from them so I'm assuming all is well.
Now all we have to do is train him to sleep on his own...

First Day's Fun
We had trainer lady visit us today, and shared with us her pearls of wisdom, 99% of which made perfect sense (exceptin' the part about wetting the crate don't you know), but as long as it makes sense, I'm on board. Until she arrived, Cody was very docile and though extremely friendly was not stimulated by toys. Then trainer lady came and made him really like his toys. We went out and bought all the ones she brought with her.
So we're looking forward with some fear and trepidation to a night of high pitched whining and barking and four very tired and very grumpy people tomorrow...stay tuned.

the morning of..
We are just hours away from his arrival. I'm planning on capturing his first few moments in our home. I'm sure they'll be some peeing . . . hopefully most of it will be his!
Living with Cody
This may very well be the chronicle of a madman...but in the end it just might be a little slice of sanity as I and my family . . . for the second time . . .venture forth into the wild and unpredictable ocean that is dog ownership.
